Amazing Thailand 9 Days
Bangkok -Chiang Rai - Chiang Mai

​​​Day 1 Arrive Bangkok
Upon arrival in Bangkok, Thailand’s capital, you will be greeted and escorted to the hotel. 

 

Day 2 Bangkok (AB, L, SD)
After breakfast, pay a visit to Wat Po, Bangkok’s oldest and largest temple which features the largest reclining Buddha and the Chedi of the kings. Continue your visit to the Royal Grand Palace situated close to the Chao Phya, Bangkok’s River of Kings, the palace occupied nearly one square mile. Built in 1782 by King Rama I, it was the center of power for more than 150 years. Within the compound is the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Pra Kaew) which houses Thailand most precious image of the Lord Buddha. This afternoon, experience a trip along the bustling Chao Phya River and the quiet Klongs (canals) in a long tail boat and enjoy scenes of life by water. A stop will be made at the Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun). This evening, you will enjoy Thai dinner with cultural performance at Silom Village.

Important: Please note that for visiting the Grand Palace, you will be required to wear proper attire
(no bare shoulder, bare knees or strapless-heel shoes).
Shoes must be removed before entering all temple buildings as a matter of respect.


Day 3 Bangkok (AB, L)
Today’s highlight is an excursion to Damnoern Saduak Floating Market. This most, interesting full day tour takes you to the rural yet world-famous floating market of Damnern Saduak, situated around 100 kilometers west of Bangkok. After lunch, continue to Kanchanburi to visit the notorious “Bridge over the River Kwai”. You will pay a visit to the War Cemetery and the War Museum to learn about the history of the famous railway bridge. Return to Bangkok in the late afternoon. 

 

Day 4 Bangkok – Chiang Rai (AB)
Free till transfer to airport for your flight to Chiang Rai. Upon arrival, you will be greeted and escorted to your hotel. 

 

Day 5 Chiang Rai – Chiang Mai (AB, L)
Today’s excursion is to Akha and Yao tribes villages. Akha, who originated from Tibet and are among the poorest of Thailand’s ethnic minorities. The Yao are from China and are till influenced by Chinese traditions. Going on to Chiang Saen, a small crossroads town on the bank of Mae Khong River to explores the ruins. You can also witness the panoramic view of the Golden Triangle. Finally you will arrive at Mae Sai, the northernmost town of Thailand and Myanmar. After lunch, continue drive to Chiang Mai. En route, visit Hot Spring at Wiang Pa Pao. Check in to your hotel. 

 

Day 6 Chiang Mai (AB, L, SD)
This full day of fun and excitement begins at the Chiang Dao young elephant training camp, located 56kms from Chiang Mai. Guest leaves in the morning and observe the elephants taking their morning bathes in a stream before commencing their daily work routines such as pulling and pilling logs and performing many other interesting activities. Then get the experience of life time by riding the elephants into the jungle for one hour before enjoying a delicious local lunch. The next part of the adventure starts soon afterwards with bamboo river rafting trip down a stretch of the Ping River. The last stop is a visit to the Lisu Village. 

 

Day 7 Chiang Mai (AB, L)
This morning, attend a cooking class and enjoy learning how to cook Thai Food. This afternoon, drive through different parts of the city, passing through old city walls, gates and city moat, market, residential areas, foreign Consulates, Government buildings and Tapae Chiang Mai’s tourist attraction area. Then drive up to Doi Suthep to visit Wat Phrathad Doi Suthep (built in 1384AD). It is 3,500 feet above sea-level, the most sacred temple in Northern Thailand containing royal relic of Lord Buddha with a challenging flight of over 300 walking steps, flanked by enormous mythological Nagas. Then visit a significant and picturesque of Meo Hill Tribe Village on Doi Pui to experience their lifestyles and see the Meo tribesmen dressed in their colorful traditional costumes. You will also visit Sankampaeng District. 

 

Day 8 Chiang Mai – Bangkok (AB)
Transfer to airport for your flight back to Bangkok. Upon arrival, you will be greeted and escorted to your hotel. The balance of the day is at leisure. 

 

Day 9 Bangkok – Home (AB)
Farewell to Bangkok. Transfer to airport for your flight back home.
